This guide provides step-by-step instructions for registering for the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test). The SSAT registration is exclusively available through the official SSAT website: https://ssat.org. If you encounter any difficulties accessing the website, it is recommended to use a browser like Google Chrome. Should you face technical issues during registration, such as the page not loading, take a screenshot of the error and contact SSAT support at info@enrollment.org for assistance.
a. Visit https://ssat.org, and click “Sign Up” in the upper right corner of the homepage.
b. After the new page loads, you will see an option on the right side to “Create an Account.” If you are not a member of The Enrollment Management Association, click “Sign up for a Parent/Guardian and Student Account.” If you already have an account, simply click “Sign In” on the left to proceed with your existing login.
Important: Registration must be done through a parent or guardian’s account. For more details on this change, visit the official SSAT website.
c. Complete the required personal information and set up your SSAT account username and password (fields marked with * are mandatory):
Parent/Guardian Information:
Name (required): Enter the name as it appears on official identification (passport or driver’s license).
Contact Information and Address (required):Include your address in the provided fields. Ensure you follow the standard address format used in the U.S. or Canada (e.g., house number, street name, city, state/province, postal code).
Email Address (required):This will serve as the primary point of contact for SSAT-related information, so ensure that the email address you provide is accurate and accessible.
Username and Password: Create a username and password for the parent/guardian account and store it securely. You will need these credentials for future tasks like registering for the exam, printing admission tickets, and managing score reports.
Student Information:
Name: Use the same format as for the parent/guardian name.
Current Grade: Choose the student’s current grade level, the type of school they attend (day or boarding), their date of birth, gender, and native language. Ensure all information is accurate.
Student: Create a username and password for the student account and store it securely. The features available in the parent and student accounts differ slightly, so be sure to keep track of both.
d. School Information:
Opt-In to Receive Admissions Materials: You have the option to opt in to receive information from member schools of The Enrollment Management Association. This might include newsletters, scholarship opportunities, open house invitations, and admission ma terials from schools your child may be interested in. You can check this option if you wish to receive such information.
e. Account Creation:
After submitting the information, you will see a confirmation screen stating “Accounts Successfully Created.” Record the username and password for both the parent/guardian and student accounts, as you will need these to log in for future activities like registering for tests or sending score reports.
Note: Each student can only have one account. Make sure to safeguard your login credentials for future use.
Carefully review the personal information provided. After confirming its accuracy, check the confirmation box and click “Next.
This step links your registration to the appropriate SSAT level (Elementary, Middle, or Upper Level) based on your grade. Ensure that you select the grade you are currently enrolled in, not the grade you are applying for.
Based on your location, the available test dates and centers will be displayed. Select the date and location most convenient for you. If you live in the U.S. or Canada, you can search for test centers by city or postal code. Choose your preferred test site and click “Next.”
At this point, you can choose to have your SSAT scores automatically sent to schools as soon as they become available. To do so, select “Yes” and enter the names of the schools. If you prefer to send scores later, select “No.” You can add score recipients at any time before or after the test.
A Score Advisor is typically an educational consultant or admissions officer who can access your scores and send them to schools on your behalf. This feature is common for students working with admissions consultants or private educational advisors. Add a Score Advisor only if it applies to you.
You can opt to receive email or text notifications when your scores are ready for an additional fee ($22 per notification).
You can also request a printed score report, which can be mailed to you via standard post (35).
Note: Your electronic score report will be available in your SSAT account and will automatically be sent to the schools you list as score recipients. A printed report is not usually necessary.
While schools will receive your writing sample as part of your score report, it is not included in your personal report. You can purchase a copy of your writing sample for 20, with additional details provided.](https://aiwallpaper-demo1.s3.amazonaws.com/ssat/blog/content/1-12.png)
The official study guide includes two full-length practice tests and preparation materials. The guide is available for purchase, and delivery may take up to a month for international orders. Choose “Upper Level” for grades 8–11 or “Middle Level” for grades 5–7.
Double-check the information provided for accuracy. If everything is correct, click “Next” to proceed to the payment page.
Read the SSAT terms carefully. Check the box to indicate your agreement, and click “Proceed to Payment.”
The payment page allows you to pay by credit card (Visa or MasterCard).
If you have a Fee Waiver Code from an SSAT member school, enter it here. Otherwise, leave this field blank.
Provide your billing address and credit card details, including the card number, expiration date, and security code.
After confirming all details, click “Submit Payment.”
Once your payment is successful, download your admission ticket as a PDF and print it. You must bring a printed copy of your admission ticket and a valid photo ID (passport or driver’s license) to the test center on the exam day.
Note: If you need to register for another SSAT test at a later date, you can return to the “Register for Another Test” option and repeat the steps outlined above.
If you encounter any issues during the account creation or registration process, contact the SSAT help center for assistance.
